Instructors' Bios
Ron Tuggle functions as administrator of Kingdom Academy and enjoys staying behind the scenes facilitating events. When Ron purchased the property at 1705 Kingdom Road in Bell Buckle, he had a vision for using the property to bring glory to Gods kingdom. Ron enjoys meeting all the people that funnel through our camps.
Malinda Tuggle is manager and instructor of Kingdom Academy of the Arts. She is a homeschool mom of 17 years and mother of seven children, four who are past and present camp instructors and three adoptive children coming home soon from Guatemala. She has been interested in art since a young age. She received her BA degree in Art Education from Ohio State University. Her background includes instructing children in the public school system for ten years, teaching art appreciation at Middle Tennessee State University and teaching the homeschool community at local tutorials and cooperatives since 1991. In 1999, Kingdom Academy of the Arts was launched. She began offering worldview art camps, and has since expanded the program to include the Worldview Study Program as well as the various other camps several times a year.
Scott Tuggle, formally an instructor, is currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Scott has been interested in both art and its application to a Christian worldview for several years. He has studied C.S. Lewis, Francis Schaeffer, and Dr. David Nobels works. He has been a counselor at the Worldview Summit at Bryan College for three years, and he has studied at LAbri, the school started by Dr. Schaeffer, in Switzerland. Both a talented artist and a gifted teacher, he adds much value to the camp. His ability to teach the students to think with a critical mind is very exciting. Although Scott is seldom available to teach, the students always enjoy Scotts lectures and discussion groups.
Chris Tuggle the second son of Ron and Malinda currently instructing for Kingdom Academy and plans to attend graduate school Fall 2010. He has a passion for literature and is a very gifted teacher. Chris has an ability to share his love of the author and his work in such a way as to leave students with a desire to read more.
Krystle, although in college still instructs several camps. During Art and Christianity II, Krystle leads an architectural design team in designing and building a scale model. She is a talented artist and enjoys assisting in many of the studio projects for Art and Christianity I and II. She is very instrumental in the events of the Proverbs 31 Domestic Arts camp and many of the Day Camps offered through Kingdom Academy of the Arts. She has been building, painting, and sculpting since birth, and she enjoys sharing her skills.
Courtney, is an assistant instructor for several of the camps. Courtney also enjoys organizing the paperwork, the house, the classroom, and anything we allow her to organize. We are very thankful for this gift of hers. She is a valuable asset to the family and to the business.
Kevin, Claudia and Kelly, are our three adoptive children home from Guatemala in May 2009. Even though they are not children of our womb, they are children of our heart and fill our lives and our home with much joy. They look forward to meeting everyone and they think all the classes and camps are more fun than they can imagine. We are very grateful for God entrusting us with their lives.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Jessica Morrison for providing her photographic expertise for this website.
