Instructors' Bios

Ron Tuggle is the administrator of Kingdom Academy of the Arts. Ron enjoys staying behind the scenes and facilitating events. When Ron purchased the property at 1705 Kingdom Road in Bell Buckle, he had a vision for using the property to bring glory to God’s kingdom. Ron enjoys meeting all the people that funnel through our camps.

Malinda Tuggle is manager and instructor of Kingdom Academy of the Arts. She is a homeschool mom of 14 years and mother of four children, and she has been interested in art since a young age. She received her BA degree in Art Education from Ohio State University. Malinda instructed all grade levels in the public school system for 10 years, taught art appreciation at Middle Tennessee State University for two years, and has been teaching the homeschool community at local tutorials and cooperatives since 1991. In 1999, she began offering worldview art camps, and she has since expanded the program to include the Worldview Study Program as well as the various other camps several times a year.

Scott Tuggle, formally an instructor, is currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Scott has been interested in both art and its application to a Christian worldview for several years. He has studied C.S. Lewis, Francis Schaeffer, and Dr. David Nobel’s works. He has been a counselor at the Worldview Summit at Bryan College for three years, and he has studied at L’Abri, the school started by Dr. Schaeffer, in Switzerland. Both a talented artist and a gifted teacher, he adds much value to the camp. His ability to teach the students to think with a critical mind is very exciting. The students always enjoy Scott’s lectures and discussion groups.

Chris Tuggle is an instructor for the Art and Christianity camps. Chris is currently in his senior year at Patrick Henry College, and he has a passion for literature. He teaches on site when his schedule allows and teaches via teleconference when he is away from home. Chris has an ability to share his love of the author and his work in such a way as to leave students with a desire to read more.

Krystle, 17, is an instructor for several of the camps. During Art and Christianity II, Krystle leads an architectural design team in designing and building a scale model. She is a talented artist and enjoys assisting in many of the studio projects for Art and Christianity I and II. She is very instrumental in the events of the Proverbs 31 Domestic Arts camp and many of the Day Camps offered through Kingdom Academy of the Arts. She has been building, painting, and sculpting since birth, and she enjoys sharing her skills.

Courtney, 15, is an assistant instructor for several of the camps. Courtney also enjoys organizing the paperwork, the house, the classroom, and anything we allow her to organize. We are very thankful for this gift of hers. Despite her young age, she is a valuable asset to the family and to the business.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Jessica Morrison for providing her photographic expertise for this website.
