During this camp, the participants will start the day by comparing an egg from the grocery to a fresh egg. We will also taste some homegrown chicken and compare it to chicken from the grocer. This experiment demonstrates the quality of raising your own chickens for eggs and meat. Learn the art of poultry production on a small scale, and take the chicken from the pen to the dinner table or freezer. The cost is $25.00 per person (no cost for adults with a paid participant). All participants will take home chicken for their own freezer. Please bring a sack lunch.
